RELIEF FOR HURRICANE HELENE
Help our Community
Greetings, friends,
As most of you know by now, the 52 counties of Western North Carolina have been declared a major disaster area due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. In recorded history, the southern Appalachians have never experienced such destruction. Many of our friends, family, and colleagues have been affected. Some have sustained significant damage to their homes, while others are still trapped due to the large number of destroyed bridges, downed trees, and, in some cases, damaged or completely destroyed roads.
Fortunately, we have been able to reach everyone in our community, and everyone is safe. However, some remain trapped in their homes or the homes of others.
We are working diligently to establish a support network for our Eagle Condor Council / Golden Threads community and their families.
A donation page has been established through the Eagle Condor Council / Golden Threads nonprofit.
We humbly ask for financial donations of any size to help our friends and family. For donations over $200, you will receive a tax deduction letter from us, as all donations are 100% tax-deductible.
The funds will be used to purchase water, food, fuel, and materials for repairing damaged structures, and to aid in cleanup efforts. Many of us are skilled with chainsaws, and there is much work to be done!
Thank you in advance for your generosity. We will keep you informed of our progress.
